Our Client
Our client is looking for a curious and empathetic Data Engineer who is motivated and wants to work in a collaborative space. They are a research and development organization focused on the web3 ecosystem. They love the open nature of blockchain and intend to leverage it to increase opportunity and fairness.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain core data infrastructure which includes a variety of systems (raw data, metrics, and other features)
- Establish architecture for storage and ETL pipeline
- Create tools that allow access to data for the entire organization
- Maintain data quality to ensure accuracy and clarity in data usage
- Collaborate with modelers and executive stakeholders to ensure alignment on objectives
Qualifications/Requirements:
- 5+ years developing production data systems for both BI and modeling teams
- Experience with both relational and distributed database design and management in cloud-based environments
- Comfortable writing production-quality code in Python, Java, C++ or equivalent
Bonus Qualifications:
- BA/MA, BS/MS, or PhD in a technical field
- Experience -
- in gaming, economics, blockchain, mathematical or statistical modeling, AI/ML
- designing or working with DeFi protocols
- with smart contract development
